This 5-day, 4-night mini-tour is a perfect getaway to discover northern Madagascar, allowing you to marvel at its stunning landscapes, unique flora and fauna, and rich and vibrant culture. Join us for this unforgettable adventure and let yourself be enchanted by the magic of Madagascar.
On the first day of your North Madagascar tour, you will leave Nosy Be early in the morning, board a speedboat and cross to Ankify. Welcomed by our teams, we take National Road No. 6 towards the North, passing the village of Mahamasina to make a short lunch stop. A section of track is a little difficult but the journey offers you a surprising setting.
You will be amazed by the immensity of the landscapes and beauties of the red Tsingy, an exceptionally original and unique geological formation in the world, caused by deforestation associated with slow erosion, sculpted by wind and rain. They have colors preferably in the afternoon for beautiful photos of your trip.
You will take the road towards Joffre Ville at 67 Kilometers. Dinner and night at the Nature Lodge hotel or similar
On the second day of your North Madagascar tour, after breakfast, you will take the road to the Amber Mountain. Three kilometers from Joffre Ville and about forty kilometers south of the city of Diego is the Amber Mountain National Park, which peaks at 1,475m and immerses us in humid tropical vegetation, which several torrents and sacred waterfalls water in various places.
An excursion is suggested within the park in order to discover various species of fauna and flora typical of dense humid forests, with a strong endemicity. More than a hundred species of birds are represented, seven species of Lemurs including the microcebus, the smallest of the lemurs and the Aye aye, fifty-nine species of reptiles including chameleons: we discover the smallest chameleon in the world! ...
Picnic lunch on site.
We reach the city of Diego Suarez in the late afternoon, check in to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the “Hotel de la Poste” or similar
On the third day of your North Madagascar tour, early in the morning towards the village of Ramena, you will taste the sandy tracks beaten in laterite will make you discover the authentic beauty of the wild nature wooded with Pachypodiums until the beach of the Bay of Sakalava. A beautiful white sand beach beaten by the trade wind for the joy of kitesurfing and windsurfing enthusiasts from all over the world.
From the Bay of Sakalava you will arrive at the Bay of Dunes, another tropical jewel with the crystal clear sea. A stop is planned to observe the oldest Baobab in Antsiranana or even in the country. Continuing along the track, you discover the Bay of Pigeons, a former military zone surrounded by varied vegetation.
Lunch in Ramena, swimming! Return to the hotel around 4 p.m.
On the fourth day of your North Madagascar tour, you will leave Diego Suarez early in the morning to take the National Road No. 6 towards Mahamasina.
On arrival, you will settle in at "chez Laurent" or similar.
After lunch, you will discover the Ankarana National Park with its sacred bat cave, the water loss which is a huge excavation in the river bed where the water disappears in the rainy season, the Tsingy with sharp edges which is a limestone massif like a forest of stone sharp as knives with its endemic lemurs, its snake birds...
Return to the lodgings around 5 p.m.
On the fifth day of your North Madagascar tour after a day in Mahamasina, you will join the Millot Plantation to discover the secrets of preparing the greatest cocoas.
Lunch, you will take the road to Ankify, the embarkation point for the island of Nosy Be. Your guide will take you on a speedboat and bring you back to Nosy Be.
Finally, the team will drop you off at your Hotel.
