Approximately forty kilometers south of Diego Suarez, the park protects a vast tropical rainforest of 18,200 hectares and encompasses a volcanic massif. Amber Mountain is distinguished by its exceptional biodiversity and unspoiled nature.
During your excursion, you will have the opportunity to observe a multitude of endemic species. Among them are various plants, some of which have medicinal properties, and mammals such as eight lemurs, including two particularly remarkable species: the crowned lemur and the red mouse lemur, the smallest primate in the world. You can also admire various reptiles, including eleven species of chameleons, including the smallest chameleon on the planet: the brookesia. The park is home to more than 75 bird species and nearly 20 amphibian species.
