Depart from Nosy Be in the morning. Depending on the season, you will reach Ambanja either by speedboat or by car along the coastal road (3–4 hours), with magnificent scenery of beaches and tropical forests along the way.
Upon arrival, settle in at Antoremba Lodge, a comfortable lodge by the sea with a tropical garden. In the afternoon, enjoy a peaceful walk along the beach or explore the town center to experience local life. A perfect introduction to the natural and relaxing atmosphere of the region.

In the morning, depart by 4x4 for the Sahamalaza Reserve (about 2 hours). The route crosses villages and typical northwestern Malagasy landscapes, already offering opportunities to observe birds and local vegetation.
Check in at Blue-eyed Lemur Lodge, a simple yet comfortable camp near the reserve. In the afternoon, set off on your first guided hike to meet the famous Blue-eyed Lemur, a rare and endemic species. The guides will share their knowledge about lemurs and the local biodiversity.
Overnight: Blue-eyed Lemur Lodge (Sahamalaza)
Morning: early trek to observe active lemurs and discover other endemic species as well as rare birds.
Afternoon: explore secondary trails and quieter areas of the forest, ideal for photography and observing Sahamalaza’s unique flora. In the evening, take a night walk to discover species active after dark, such as mouse lemurs and certain reptiles.

Morning: embark on a boat trip to discover mangroves and nearby lakes, with excellent opportunities to spot birds and aquatic reptiles.
Afternoon: visit local villages, meet the inhabitants, and learn about community-based conservation initiatives that protect the blue-eyed lemur. The evening is free, with the option of a short hike to admire the sunset over the forest.

After breakfast, depart for Ambanja, then return to Nosy Be. Enjoy the scenery along the way.
The afternoon can be dedicated to relaxation or water activities before the end of the tour.
