This 5-day tour invites you to explore the most beautiful landscapes of northern Madagascar. Between spectacular geological formations, lush tropical forests, wild beaches, and iconic national parks, you will experience a complete adventure combining nature, culture, and discovery.
From the Red Tsingy, a natural masterpiece sculpted by erosion, to the Amber Mountain National Park, a biodiversity sanctuary, passing through the splendid Three Bays of Diego Suarez and the Ankarana National Park, each stage reveals a unique facet of northern Madagascar. The tour concludes with a gourmet stop at Cyrille Plantation in Ambanja before returning to Nosy Be.
Your adventure begins early in the morning with a speedboat crossing from Nosy Be to Ankify. Upon arrival, our team welcomes you and accompanies you along National Road No. 6, crossing diverse landscapes and picturesque villages. A lunch break is scheduled in Mahamasina, in the heart of this scenic route.
In the afternoon, you discover the famous Red Tsingy, geological formations sculpted by wind and rain. Their blazing colors reach their full intensity at the end of the day, offering an unforgettable spectacle.
The day ends in Joffre ville, where you stay at Nature Lodge or a similar property, in a peaceful natural setting. Dinner and overnight on site.
After breakfast, set off to explore the Amber Mountain National Park, located 3 km from Joffreville and rising to 1,475 meters. This humid tropical forest is renowned for its sacred waterfalls, lush vegetation, and cool climate.
Along shaded trails, observe traveler’s palms, giant ferns, orchids, and palm trees, as well as exceptional biodiversity: lemurs (including the mouse lemur and the Aye-Aye), miniature chameleons, and more than 100 bird species.
A picnic lunch in the heart of the forest allows you to fully enjoy this enchanting setting. At the end of the day, drive to Diego Suarez (Antsiranana) and check in at Hôtel de la Poste or similar for dinner and overnight.
At sunrise, departure for Ramena, crossing sandy tracks bordered by wild landscapes and Pachypodium plants. You successively discover the Three Bays, natural jewels of northern Madagascar.
Bay of Sakalava is popular for kitesurfing and windsurfing, with its white sand and constant trade winds. Bay of Dunes charms visitors with its crystal-clear waters, while Bay of Pigeons, a former military site, offers a peaceful setting surrounded by coastal vegetation.
A stop is planned to admire one of the oldest baobab trees in Antsiranana, a symbol of the Malagasy landscape. Return to Ramena for lunch and a relaxing swim before heading back to your hotel in the afternoon.
Early departure for Mahamasina via RN6. Check-in at Chez Laurent or similar after lunch.
The afternoon is dedicated to exploring the Ankarana National Park, famous for its sharp Tsingy, suspension bridges, caves, and majestic baobabs. Wildlife is abundant: lemurs, chameleons, snakes, and numerous bird species thrive in this unique environment.
The hike offers breathtaking panoramas over the rocky formations and dry vegetation typical of northern Madagascar. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, drive to Ambanja to visit the famous Cyrille Plantation , renowned for cocoa, vanilla, coffee, and pepper. Discover the cultivation and processing methods of these exceptional products and enjoy the unique aromatic atmosphere of northern Malagasy terroir.
After lunch, continue to Ankify to board a speedboat heading to Nosy Be. The crossing offers a final view of the northern coastal landscapes. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and end of the tour, rich in spectacular tsingy, tropical forests, wild beaches, and cultural immersion.
