Discover the Highlands of Madagascar on a 4-day adventure starting from Antananarivo, traveling through terraced rice fields, traditional villages, and lush green landscapes. In Andasibe, explore the Analamazaotra Special Reserve and observe the Indri Indri, the island’s largest lemur, before continuing to Antsirabe and Ampefy, between volcanic lakes and the Lily Waterfall.
The tour ends in Antananarivo with a visit to the Rova of Antananarivo and Ambohimanga, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A short yet complete stay combining nature and culture.
Early morning departure from Antananarivo to Andasibe (approximately 3.5 hours). Along the way, admire the typical Highland scenery: terraced rice fields, green hills, and traditional villages.
Upon arrival, enjoy a guided visit of the Analamazaotra Reserve, a biodiversity sanctuary. You will observe the Indri Indri, the largest lemur in Madagascar, as well as other lemurs, chameleons, endemic frogs, and lush flora including wild orchids, giant ferns, and centuries-old trees.
In the late afternoon, a night walk will allow you to discover nocturnal wildlife such as small frogs, geckos, and fascinating insects. Your guide will share insights about the unique tropical forest ecosystem.

After a hearty breakfast, departure for Antsirabe (approximately 5 hours). The journey crosses mountains, terraced rice fields, and picturesque villages, passing local markets and craft workshops.
Upon arrival, visit Lake Andraikiba and Lake Tritriva, two volcanic lakes with turquoise waters, ideal for walking and photography. Discover the local legends and surrounding vegetation.
Then stroll through the streets of Antsirabe to visit craft workshops: zebu horn miniatures, jewelry, embroidery, and traditional handmade objects. You will also see the famous colorful rickshaws in the historic center.

Departure after breakfast for Ampefy (approximately 3 hours), including a visit to Lake Itasy, surrounded by volcanic hills and rural villages. Your guide will explain the geological and cultural history of the region.
Next, visit the Lily Waterfall, a spectacular site where you can hike and swim in natural pools. Explore the trails around the waterfalls, perfect for observing birds and endemic flora.
In the afternoon, drive back to Antananarivo (approximately 4.5 hours), enjoying panoramic views of rice fields and mountains. Hotel check-in and a Malagasy gastronomic dinner to conclude the day.
